Dr. Miryam Yusufov

Dr. Yusufov’s clinical areas of focus include depression, anxiety, specific phobias, substance use, and adjustment to medical illness. In addition to working with clients in ongoing therapy, Dr. Yusufov offers diagnostic assessments for adolescents and adults to clarify diagnoses and recommend a course of treatment.  She uses evidence-based approaches to identify and clarify goals, facilitate behavior change, and build coping skills. 

Outside of private practice, she is a clinical psychologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and faculty at Harvard Medical School. She works with individuals coping with cancer and conducts psychosocial oncology research.

Dr. Yusufov received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Stony Brook University and her PhD from the University of Rhode Island. She completed her psychology internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Yusufov offers appointments in either  English or  Russian. She is available to meet clients who reside in Massachusetts, either in the office in Brookline or via telehealth.
